My candidacy for Austin City Council Place 4 is about making Austin a city that works for all of us.

This race is about Austin’s future. We face the challenge of protecting what we love about Austin while managing the growth we’ll see in coming years.

I’m running for Council to make sure that as we move into the future, we protect the things we love about Austin. I envision an Austin that works for everyone; a community where we all have an opportunity for a home, a good job, and sense of security. It is an Austin that maintains the character of our neighborhoods and enhances the vitality of the local businesses that make us unique. It is a city that treats our environment with respect and uses our natural resources wisely so we do not compromise the future of our children and grandchildren.

My record as a community leader over the years is clear. I have worked for the shared goals of the citizens of Austin, calling always for transparent, inclusive and accountable government.
